Repost is a content distribution and discovery platform that makes it easy to republish content anywhere on the web. Reposting content works just like embedding a video.
Repost has partnered with thousands of publishers and bloggers to make a wide range of news, features, videos, and more available to you. By reposting content, you can add greater depth and breadth to your website, providing your readers with a richer experience. Reposting is a cost-effective way to add additional content to your site and to keep your readers engaged on your site for longer periods of time.
Repost changes the way content goes viral. Reposting provides the opportunity to expand the reach of your content across the web and creates an additional revenue stream. Our statistics show that reposted content reaches up to 99% new audience with an almost 6% click-through rate back to your site (compared with less than 2% for social media links). In addition, these new visitors read up to three times more pages on your site than visitors from search and social media.
Repost is easy to set up and install. Plugins are available for some publishing platforms (e.g., WordPress). For custom content management systems and other publishing platforms, there are some simple lines of code that need to be added to your style sheet and layout. You can view step-by-step instructions for installing Repost here:
Nothing. Repost is free to use. There is no cost for either reposting content or making content available for reposting. Publishers who wish to make their content available for reposting may include advertising in their content. All revenue from this advertising goes directly to the original publisher. In addition, Repost places an advertisement at the end of reposted content; this is how we get paid. For custom and/or e-commerce solutions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
There are a number of ways to discover content to repost on your website. You can search for content by key word, publishers, subject matter, date, etc. on our website. You can look for the Repost button on the content pages of our Publishing Partners; the button allows you to republish an article directly from the page. You can also republish content that has already been reposted by clicking the Repost button located at the end of the reposted article or story.
Reposting content is as easy as embedding a video. If you’ve located content on another website, simply click the Repost button on the content page. A preview page will open in a new tab of your browser. Click the appropriate button for the content management system or publishing platform that you use. This will give you an embed code. Now all you need to do is paste the embed code into a new post on your website and publish it. If you’ve found content by searching the Repost site, simply click the the appropriate button for the content management system or publishing platform that you use on the preview page and paste the embed code into a new post on your website and publish it.
Yes. All of the elements of an article (e.g., links, images, videos, slideshows, etc.) will be included in the repost. In some cases, images and other elements may not be available if the original publisher does not own or have the rights to distribute them.
No. Only the original publisher can edit or change content. If the original changes, then all reposted copies will update automatically within 10 minutes, which makes Repost ideal for live blogging and developing stories.

Because reposted content is dynamically loaded into the reader’s browser from the original publisher’s website, it never actually appears on the reposting site, so there is no duplicate content penalty. Search engines will detect reposted content as link back to the original publisher, which may improve the original publisher’s search rank. People reposting content can add their own commentary to the page containing the reposted content, which will be indexed by search engines and may result in additional search traffic. comScore counts reposted content as a page view for both the original publisher and the reposting site.
Yes. You can create lists of sites or publications that are pre-approved by you to repost content, or you can create lists of sites or publications that you don’t want to repost your content. In addition, you can review at any time all the site that have reposted your content and choose to disallow the repost if the reposting site does not meet your standards. If you disallow the repost, the reposted content will not appear on the reposting site.
If you provide the code for your specific analytics program during set-up, Repost will deliver analytics for your reposted content directly into your existing analytics dashboard. Repost works with most major and proprietary analytics programs.
If a post displays a fragmented article, that means that the embeded script didn’t run properly. Here are few causes and solutions:
- Properly preview draft posts in WordPress. Clicking the Preview button located in the right sidebar won’t show the full article, only a portion of it. To solve this, save your draft instead, then view the post using the “Preview post” link at the top of the page.
- “Visual” editors may damage the script. Repost.Us articles will not expand in the visual editor (by design), and sometimes visual editors will modify or strip out the embed script. Remember to paste and save your embed code in Text/HTML mode.
